Your Visit

YOUR VISIT

We want to make sure that your visit at The River Kentucky is the best it can be. We don’t believe anything should get in the way of your time worshiping the Lord! To help you feel at home, we serve coffee at the welcome table, and here is what you can expect during your time with us.

  1. A CASUAL ATMOSPHERE – We have no specific dress code. You and your family are invited to come as you are. We love and welcome all people here.

  2. A WARM GREETING – Our community is here for you—from a hug or a handshake to answering questions. We are a newer church and are growing each week. Our community loves meeting new people.

  3. LIVELY WORSHIP – Our time together kicks off with a family worship experience where we welcome all to worship in their own way. We currently use video worship to help us enter into the presence of the Lord as we still look for our own worship leader (maybe that person/team involves you?!) Our services last about 60-75 min.

  4. CHILDREN – Children stay with their families during worship and then have children’s church during the sermon for kids approximately 2 yrs old and up. Infants under 2 years old stay with their families—or parents are welcome to stay with them in the children’s church area to play!

We love children and expect them to behave like children—which means making noise and having energy at times.

  5. SPIRIT-LED PREACHING – Lead Pastor Andrew Eberhart brings an engaging, theologically-grounded word to us each week from the Bible. From real-life topics to biblical doctrine, each week’s word is intended to facilitate spiritual formation no matter where you are in your walk with God.

  6. A MOVE OF GOD – God is always moving and we desire to move with Him. Though our services follow a basic structure and format, we welcome the Holy Spirit to come and dwell and sometimes that means adjusting our plans for the service to just enjoy his presence.

We’d love to meet you.

Visiting a church for the first time can feel intimidating, and we want to make it as welcoming as possible. We long to be a place where people can come as they are, encounter Jesus, and be shaped by His love and truth. All are welcome here. At The River Kentucky, we are imperfect people on a faith journey, learning to follow Jesus together. We don’t try to be religious—and we don’t expect you to be either! We are a small, hope-filled, love-filled community who love celebrating Jesus, and we’d be delighted to have you join us.

Sunday worship service is at 10:30 am.

Our address is 104 S. Second St. Nicholasville KY 40356

Enter through the side door. The sanctuary is up the stairs to the left.

There is a parking lot across the side street from the church (the old Christian Church building on the corner of Maple and S. Second St. - it’s a large tan stone/brick building with the Jessamine County Food Pantry located in the back).
